Porta Gaig is the brainchild of Michelin starred Chef Carles Gaig. Specialising in Catalan cuisine and using market-fresh ingredients, the menu is similar to that of Fonda Gaig, Gaig's other restaurant in the centre of Barcelona.
Carles Gaig was born in the Barcelona neighbourhood of Horta into a family with a long history in the restaurant business, having owned the 'Taberna d'en Gaig' since 1869.
