As its name suggests, the gardens of this palace are amongst the grandest in the world. Widely regarded as the 'Jewel of Jaipur', the beauty of the Maharani in the 1930s drew a host of international dignitaries making it the 'IT' palace of Rajasthan. Today, much of the same magnificence is echoed in the damask covered walls, carved stonework and ornate garden walks. An indoor pool is sumptuous in its seclusion, while a Signature Jiva Grande Spa builds royal wellness. There are many reasons to undo any of this good work - the slection of single malts, wine, liqueurs and Cuban cigars in the Polo Bar is up there amongst them. The grand dining hall - Suvarna Mahal - adorned with gilded mirrors and Florentine frescoes gives you a taste of the best of royal Indian cuisine. The Verandah, serves traditional afternoon tea, pre-dinner cocktails and light meals with views out over the gardens - champagne at sunset reveals the best of nature's beauty.
