At just over 100km from Delhi, this fort palace has become a weekend playground for groups of expats residing in Delhi. Set on 25 acres, the 1464 architecture is achingly majestic with palaces that step down a terraced hillside. All of the 83 rooms are eclectically furnished with traditional and colonial pieces, and most have their own private balconies. They stare out over the plain below, touchingly beautiful as it bears the distant burden of long ago battles. Yoga, meditation and an Ayurvedic doctor and treatments make it an amazing place to recharge, while the pool with a view is its own relaxation. If adrenalin with a view is more your speed, there is also a flying fox that charges you with an epic view over the palace and plain.
