My most luxurious and adventurous trip:
This is such a hard question to answer; how does one define luxury? Is it about the thread count or the experience? Personally, for me, it is about creating an experience that is rare or hard to come by and doing it in style. Anyone can buy 'luxury' but not everyone can buy the 'real deal'. Consequently any time I put a mobile camp into the field I consider that to be the height of luxury; a dedicated personal team building a camp specifically for the guests and for those days. When this camp is placed in the heart of the wilderness, in the best big game country and then combined with outstanding food, comfortable beds, a great wine list and an outside fire, this, for me, is luxury at its peak. Take your pick of where to choose but for me it is Kenya with camp moving between Amboseli, Tsavo and Laikipia.

My favourite place in the world:

Luxury Travel Adventures in Africa

As a continent it is Africa and as actual locations I am very fortunate for my favourite places to be either where I currently live or have lived; not in order they are: the Mahale Mountains in Tanzania; the island of Lamu, Kenya and the Suyian ranch in Laikipia, Kenya; and I am always happy when I return home to the Okavango Delta in Botswana.
